Do you remember the letter I was talking about? I wasn't actually shy back then, that letter was supposed to be for your birthday! Since I originally planned to ask to court you on your birthday, that letter was full of birthday greetings from me. Obviously, that didn't go as planned.

I may not be your mother by flesh and blood, but you have become a greater part of my life. With that, I am eternally grateful for meeting you. And seeing you grow up into who you are, I can never be more proud than what I am at the moment.

I quite thought our friendship would come to an end after losing contact with you, but I'm glad that it didn't. You're one of the most valuable people for me. I'll never forget last Christmas when you gave me something, and when you said that giving gifts is a way you express your gratitude and love towards your friends.
