Back when I was about 15 or 16, a friend and I played with a Ouija board in my lounge room. We'd played with one many times before, but it was especially creepy this time around. The 'spirit' was toying with our candles, scratching and banging on the front door, and we even heard someone scream just by the lounge room window, which at 2am is extremely odd. I'm going to tell the short story of this memory, using sound effects throughout it (sort of like the original 'war of the worlds').

I went into this creativity task with the thought of writing a poem, but the longer I thought about it, the more I thought I could tell the story in a more entertaining way. I considered a song, but due to my lack of knowledge in editing audio, I decided to go another route. I figured there must be a way I could simply tell the story, but in a more creative way. I watched 'The War of the Worlds' very recently, and came to the realisation that I could use a similar format to the original, adding sound effects to a tale to create atmosphere. I consider this method divergent thinking, as I explored many possible solutions before deciding upon how I would create the product.
