There is an outstanding website for young authors who would like to create a published copy of their own books. Be aware that while the rewards of publishing a book are awesome (and in some rare occasions, you can even be paid a fee for the rights to your book), it does require an incredible amount of work. This website put together by a publishing company in America, and can create beautiful PDF, softcover or hardcover copies of your work.

Using this site (https://www.storyjumper.com/) sign up using your student Google account. If you're using a Chromebook this is much easier, but if you're on a desktop or laptop computer you'll need your Google e-mail (your student number @pdsb.net and your student password). This site will allow you to design the entire book (such as backgrounds and illustrations, spacing, dedication page, etc). It's highly recommended that you only start using this site once your editing and rough drafts of your story are already done! Even better, have the draft of your story typed up in electronic form already (such as Google Docs), so you can copy and paste pieces of it to this Story Jumper template. You can even use outside materials (such as high definition images, which are far superior to standard clip art if you're planning on publishing this book) by uploading them to Story Jumper. Once you're done, you can publish your work and order a copy of your finished product, but only after one more forced review. Please do not publish without an adult looking over your work as a final edit!

Once published, there will be a free version available online. You can share the link to your work for others to see, or even open it to the public. For a small fee you can order a PDF (which you then can get printed and bound at Staples for a small amount of money), or order an official softcover or hardcover publishing of your book (which will be more expensive, and will be shipped from the printers in America, meaning it will take about a month to arrive). You can even record a voice-over to read to people when they look up your book online!

Happy publishing! I've attached some examples here. Keep churning out amazing stories!
