The Neolithic Revaluation was important because it made civilization. This was done by Domesticating fire and permanent settlements. Fire was very useful it kept us warm and cooked our food. While the fire helped us civilization truly started with permanent settlements, staying in one place to make cities kingdoms and countries. This is why the neolithic revolution was so important.

Elliot - H.

Kai Zulu

During the start of the Neolithic Revolution, hunter-gatherers were starting to learn how hunter and domesticate animal to help with hunting, breeding or to be eaten. Even though word writing wasn’t a thing back during the Neolithic Revolution, a form of writing Man did use was cave paintings. Cave paintings were a form of writing they used to tell stories or hunting methods to share with their children and the children will tell their children and so on. Cave paintings are now one of the ways we can see what happened before, during and after the Neolithic Revolution. Archaeologists are still finding more cave paintings all around the world to this day and all of them are unique in more ways than one.

Max S. Rich

I feel like the domestication of fire, wolfs, and the development of strategic hunting were big advancements for the neolithic revolution. The domestication of fire allowed cooking and the ability to store food, the ability to fend off the cold and night, and the ability to make new materials. The taming of wolfs made access to protection against predators, help with hunting, and if needed a food source. Now developing strategic hunting helped developed more complex communication, and effective hunting making more of a surplus of food. These three advancements in the neolithic revolution helped make a surplus of food which led to settlement and on to civilization

Michael S.

In the Neolithic Revolution the Neolithic man managed to domesticate several animals, such as wolves, pigs, chickens, horses, and cows. This was important because it allowed them to have more animals and more meat due to how quickly some of the animals reproduced, it helped them create animals that aided them in transporting things, like horses. In the Neolithic Revolution, the Neolithic man also transitioned to farmers from hunter gatherers. This was important because it allowed them to stay in one area and have more people in their group which made more cultural diffusion and helped them make a food surplus.

Joseph Bershaw (reflection for now)

Towards the "end" of the neolithic revolution, more solidified settlements started developing. They were allowed to develop because of bountiful harvests from newly domesticated crops like rice creating a food surplus and freeing up labor. Some of that labor went to metal working and gathering, allowing new possibilities for new and better tools.

I chose these things to represent the neolithic revolution for varying reasons. I chose the wheat because it was a widely grown plant that is still grown today. I chose the pig because it was one of the earlier animals that was domesticated on a larger scale. The house represents more people being able to live a sedentary lifestyle due to agriculture letting people get the food they need in one place.

The Neolithic revolution had many important things that helped them prosper grow as a species and established communities. Early humans domesticated both plants and animals to accommodate their new non-nomadic lifestyle. The collection of domesticated animals varried depending on location, the animals were cows, ducks, dogs, chickens, yak, camel, pigeons, and sheep—domesticated plants including but not limited to wheat, corn, rice, and berries. These plants and animals created surpluses that helped decrease the mortality rate of humans and increase their lifespan and population.
