Journalism plays a big role in our everyday lives by affecting our decisions and our way of thinking. However, journalism is acting rashly to expose hidden information without consideration for the consequences. A lot of organizations have lost money, faced serious charges or had legal issues in relation to their work because of journalism. Also, this resulted in many people losing their jobs.
Journalism always goes after the truth and seeks to expose hidden information regardless of how unethical it is. Nowadays social media is allowing the exchange of information and news in a very exposed light. Moreover, this major disrespect for people's privacy is one of today's most important issues. Also, shedding the light on major crime organisations could make them more aggressive.
Journalism need to adhere to its code of ethics by asking for permission to access personal information. Julian Assange who was the founder of wiki-leaks is in prison and facing serous charges regarding the leaking of sensitive government information. The act of stealing information or personal photos or records needs to be punished legally. One possible solution for it is to set laws that follow the sources of the news and also its consequences.
While we want to gain access to information, some of it shouldn't be given so carelessly. Minor mistakes exposed are the reason people are shunned or the cause for suicide. To sum up journalism is a double edged weapon that needs to have appropriate supervision as truth cannot be held in the hand of certain people.
Done.

Journalism is very important and essential to society. It is always an eye-opening to us. But the ethics of journalism has been a remaining issue for years. This represents a growing issue during the technological development and the evolution of spy devices. This leads to unethical journalism practices.

One of the causes is to achieve high sales. And they want their newspaper to be number one in the newspapers regardless of the harm that it will cause to anyone. Another major cause is to expose illegal behavior, whether it is from the government or citizens. For example, the American whistleblower, Edward Snowden, who leaked sensitive information from NSA to the public through the journalist. This has led to distrust between the government and its people.

Journalism is one of the most important resources we rely on to know what's happening in the world around us. It's basically about writing & distributing reports about happening events (word choice)and telling the stories of everyday people. It has many media forms such as print, TV, radio & the internet. As a profession , journalism is supposed to be unbiased and just about stating the facts of what's going on with the report it deals with. But unfortunately , not all the people use it as it's supposed to be.

The problem that faced journalism since it became a profession, is that not all the resources were transparent with people. It's a resource that's supposed to be trusted , but not all are trust worthy. Some resources are biased to one side of the stories they tell and don't cover the show the overall perspective about the topics they write about. Some others are using the medium to steer people into directions that may be not the best or not truthful. Others spread rumors just to inflame the public opinion and make profit out of his rumors. Nowadays , there's also these whistle-blowing resources that depend on anonymous non-trusted sources of information and leak critical documents and sensitive information and news about corporates and governments.

Unfortunately , there's no radical solution for the unethical behaviours of journalism. But I think the main solution is that if everybody in this profession stopped thinking about what traffic their topics will get and start thinking more about the people who need relaible resources to depend on, that would make a huge difference in the journalism production. Also governments & corporates should be able to highly encrypt their data and try to keep their information as private as they can and should to avoid the leaks and their concquences.

All in all, Journalism is a lofty profession. Whatever happens in it will not change how it helps changing the world and how eye-opening it was for the whole world.

Journalism can be a tricky business sometimes as it's not always ethical and playing by the rules to respect everyone's privacy.(how)? Around three quarter of the journalists cross the line to be able to find stories to share for (str.)the public under the name of "serving the truth".
There's in fact a huge problem people are facing today which is: How to know that your privacy is secured anymore? You can't be sure if your privacy is safe specially if you're a famous figure, journalists will follow you wherever you go to get a story to share for the public. It can be such an annoyance for people because they can't enjoy their privacy anymore.
This has led to putting journalism in a bad spot for a lot of people, because it's not respecting privacy of everyone it's always hungry for news no matter the cost, which makes matter worse for it's name. journalists should be more transparent about what to share and respect people's privacy more, to be more fair about what to share and what not to.
In conclusion, Transparency is the key for successful journalism, and shouldn't be the aggressive approach of breaking people's privacy unless it's really worth it, for example: going after a famous figure who did a felony and trying to hide it.

The Unethical Behavior of Journalism

Media plays a major part in the modern society. It strongly influences people that they want to behave under ethical framework. However, the majority of journalists choose to have unethical behaviors while doing their work. For example: some companies use media to insult other companies in the same industry. In addition, some advertisements and reality shows have negative impacts on people. These acts may ruin whole generations. Many of the complications in journalism ethics arise from the conflict of ethical standards and the media companies' desire to make money. This represents a growing problem: the unethical behavior of journalism.
One of the causes of the unethical behavior of journalism is protecting sources. To a journalist, sources are sacred. Reporters will go to great lengths to cultivate and protect sources for the sake of preserving their access and integrity. Some journalists have even risked jail time rather than identify a source such as a government whistleblower or corporate leak. Another cause is privacy versus news value. Public figures and government officials enjoy a lesser degree of privacy than other citizens.
How can journalists stop this unethical behavior? Journalists have to weigh the promise of anonymity against other factors, including the newsworthiness and credibility of their stories. In addition, journalists and editors have to work together to balance an obligation to report the news while doing no harm.
In conclusion, to prevent the unethical behavior of journalism, companies can create a code of conduct with an overview of the conduct and behaviors the company expects. In addition, journalists must try as hard as they can to make acceptable practices. There would not be an end to this problem unless the solutions proposed here are applied. That is when the unethical behavior of journalism will come to an end.

Another example, regarding lots of news about coronavirus vaccination which is still underexperiment that keeps people confused regarding the truth

As we've all been witnessing lately, the internet has been a huge platform for leaking confidential statements and sensitive information either for governments or high profile organizations. No more can entities and institutions keep secrets to their own systems, all information are now permissible. People would post very controversial contents anonymously having all the protection they need from institutions like wikileaks and sputnik with no regard to the ethics of journalism.

Of course for every problem there are causes; i haven't thought much about this matter to be honest but in my humble opinion, the wide platform of social media left with no supervision or control over content amd resources is mainly the reason why it went this far. I mean I've read about leaks of sensitive military information in every history book i even put my hands on, but this wide range of access brings us to a bigger problems. Also the corporate corruption has left no space or time for values and ethics, we rarely witness honorable competitions nowadays, it's always war and i think this plays a very strong role in supporting those whistle blowing websites or platforms.

Since awaking honorable values and ethics is not an option these days i think the only solution is restrictive policy over sensitive information, governments should guarantee no protection to any anonymous recourse of sensitive information. There definitely should be penalties for leaking sensitive information.

To make a very long story short, this is not a problem that should be left unsupervised, the deteriorations of news leaking threatens the corporate, national and international peace and confidentiality. I'm definitely not encouraging ctime concealing policies, i only this that some matters are better unpublished while the authorities deal with it the way it should.
