This story had death but back then and now stories used death so there really isn't much of a difference in that because death is scary thing for most so adding it to a horror story/movie would make sense and in the "The Cask of Amontillado he chained him up deep in a cave where he would die and be found many year later.

The story doesn't have that much jumpscares or things that are considered jumpscares because all that happend was he pulled a hammer out on a random woman and started to swing a hammer at her and kiled.

This film and had death because when the monster scared the man he died from it and he anwsered question like do you wanna know how your gonna die and he ended up dying br fear.
