First-time dog owners have a number of responsibilities when it comes to raising a healthy, well-adjusted animal. Socialization is an example of an important aspect of raising a dog that may go overlooked by individuals or families who do not have experience with canines. While the act of socializing puppies must be a top priority for all dog owners, it can be absolutely critical for certain breeds. In fact, some dogs will need to be engaged in socialization efforts for all of their lives.
