My full name is Sofia Binti Azri and I'm currently a student in Architecture and Environmental Design (AED) for foundation studies. I was born on the 8th of March in the year 2006 in Kuala Lumpur. Despite being born in Kuala Lumpur, I was actually fully raised in Puchong, Selangor. I am the youngest among two siblings; my brother being 2 years older than me. At the moment, the closest thing I would call my hobby is collecting postcards! To me, the art on the back of every postcard is beautiful. It's one of the many ways artists use to leave their own mark in the world, and to remind people of the location they visited. I also love fruits. Mangosteens are my favourite at the moment but mangoes and watermelons will always have a special place in my heart. To this day, I hold on to the saying "to live is to learn" because I believe as long as you're still breathing, there is always an opportunity for you to learn. Always trust in Allah's plan and continue learning for the better.

TAHFIZ TRAGEDY

Learning about the Tahfiz tragedy was truly heartbreaking but heartwarming at the same time. How the fire was started on purpose, how the little boy's friends protected him from the fire, how his father handled the entire situation. It is no doubt there are many things that could be learn from it.

Firstly, it is important for us to always remain humble. No matter how rich, smart, or even holy we are, it is almost impossible to consider ourselves as perfect. As I mentioned earlier in my short biography, there is always an opportunity for us to learn. So as long as we live, we should remain humble and keep learning from situations like this. Better ourselves in the name of Allah and for the good of the ummah.

Speaking of ummah, it is also important to take care of our relationships with others. When we strengthen these bonds, we will know that we aren't alone. We will remember that there are people who love us as much as we love them. This gives us peace of mind and comfort. Just like the boy, InsyaAllah we will be protected. Remember to help others, treat people with kindness and also be generous. Never be stingy, doesn't matter if it's with money, knowledge, or even smiling.

Lastly, we should always believe in Allah's plans and that He knows what's best for us. As humans, it is normal to question Him when things get rough. However, amidst the chaos, there is something good waiting for us. Something worth learning from. Something that Allah has planned even before we were put on this Earth. Allah will never burden a soul more than it could carry, and He is fair. So put your trust in Allah, and InsyaAllah, things will work out in the end.

All in all, as humans, we aren't perfect and this life isn't ours to conquer, but to correct and do better. Our final destination is not here on Earth. We should remember that Allah is always waiting for us. So talk to Him, let out your worries to Him.

Group members:

1.

BELIEF IN PROPHETS AND MESSENGERS

Belief in Prophets and Messengers is a firm conviction that Allah sent messengers to every nation to guide them toward Tawhid (the Oneness of Allah). This belief is rooted in two fundamental principles: all acts of worship must be directed to Allah alone, and any form of worship directed toward others must be rejected. Rejecting one prophet is equivalent to rejecting all prophets, while accepting one prophet means accepting them all. Obeying the teachings of the prophets is seen as obeying Allah’s commands and prohibitions. The role of the prophets was to help humanity realize their purpose of creation, unveil matters of the unseen, and provide a perfect moral example for humankind. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has distinct qualities, including his message being universal, sent to all of humankind and jinn, unlike previous prophets who were sent to specific nations. Additionally, Allah made the entire Earth a place of worship, allowing worship anywhere. He also instilled fear in the hearts of the Prophet’s enemies. Practicing the way of life taught by Rasulullah involves expressing gratitude to Allah, fellow humans, and the environment, as ingratitude toward people is considered ingratitude toward Allah.

BELIEF IN QADA AND QADR

Belief in Qada and Qadar (Divine Decree and Predestination) brings numerous benefits to a Muslim’s life. Firstly, it grants peace of mind, as the believer understands that what has happened could not have been avoided and what was avoided could not have happened. This acceptance eliminates anxiety over events beyond one’s control. Secondly, it fosters contentment, preventing the believer from grieving over past actions with "what if" statements and reducing worry about the future, knowing everything is already written. Instead, the focus is on good deeds and righteous actions. Thirdly, this belief boosts willpower and determination, as the Muslim is fearless in the face of harm, knowing that nothing can affect him unless decreed by Allah. The Prophet’s words to Ibn Abbas underscore this, teaching that no one can harm or benefit except by Allah’s decree. Fourthly, belief in Qada and Qadar helps a Muslim become modest and humble. Success is recognized as a blessing from Allah, not due to personal intelligence, wealth, or merit, while poverty or hardship is not a sign of inferiority. This prevents arrogance and fosters humility, as the believer knows Allah can change circumstances at any time. Lastly, it encourages total dependence on Allah, as a Muslim takes precautions and strives but ultimately trusts Allah's plan, knowing that divine decree complements human effort. As the Quran states, "What comes to you of good is from Allah, but what comes to you of evil is from yourself" (Quran 4:79), reminding the believer of Allah’s role in every aspect of life.

BELIEF IN THE HEREAFTER

Belief in the hereafter refers to the conviction that both the soul and body of the deceased will rise on the Day of Resurrection to be judged. This belief is important because it motivates Muslims to increase their efforts in praying and worshipping Allah to attain His paradise on the Day of Judgment. It also strengthens a Muslim's faith, knowing that the Day of Judgment is certain to come. Moreover, it leads believers to express more gratitude to Allah for blessings such as health, food, and the precious time given to continue worshipping Him. To ensure salvation in the hereafter, Muslims are encouraged to avoid sinful deeds that go against Allah's commands and to increase their good deeds in this world, such as giving charity and engaging in zikrullah (remembrance of Allah).

CONCLUSION

To conclude, it is important that we remain faithful to these three pillars of faith as it helps in forming the basis of a Muslim's beliefs, determining his way of life and and his view of the world. By believing in these three principles, a Muslim acknowledges the messages brought by the prophets, and accepts the existence of life after death, and belief in destiny (Qada and Qadar).

This not only strengthens the relationship between individuals with Allah, but also guides them in living their daily lives with high moral values, prepares the soul to face challenges with patience and perseverance, and shows good deeds and social responsibility.

Group members:

1.
