Saint Cecilia was a Roman virgin martyr and is venerated in Catholic, Orthodox, Anglican, and some Lutheran churches.She became the patroness of music and musicians, it being written that, as the musicians played at her wedding, Cecilia "sang in her heart to the Lord".Musical compositions are dedicated to her, and her feast, on 22 November,is the occasion of concerts and musical festivals.

When she was ordered to behead because she was a Catholic, they did not manage to kill her because there was a law that said that if they gave three blows and the person was still alive, they could not keep trying, so she lived three days later and spent them singing songs praising God. 

She praise God to death, that's why she is known as the patron saint of musicians.
