The first step towards eliminating oppression would be to educate people on their roots, on stigma, colonial mentality, and the history of how people have been oppressed. Once people are educated and have started dialogue about these issues, as a community we can work towards building spaces where can continue to uplift one another. This can look like advocating for policies - potentially changing policies in the local, state, federal, and even global levels.

But before you change the world, make sure to take care of your own mental health too!

I want oppression to be eliminated by the humanization of people. Oppression happens when we stop seeing other people as people.

One way to eliminate oppression is to lift up the oppressed communities by giving them an outlet to expose the issues and take a stand. I've learned this past year that educating people in your family or friends is important because sometimes when people hear things from someone close to them, they will be more open to understanding.

Steps to eliminate oppression can start with reflections amongst what factors take place in it, and even starting convos with other people. Another way is to get involved with groups who aim to target similar goals in creating a stance for themselves and voice out certain issues.

Question EVERYTHING in order to return back to who we were before the world got its hands on us. Oppressors purposely hide answers from us because they know we'd be powerful with knowledge of ourselves and our history, yet disrupting such notions paves the way to liberation.

Ask ourselves: Who are we outside of institutions? How do we feel in collective ethnic spaces? Where do we come from? Who/what/where is the root of my oppression?

I would like to eliminate oppression through education. We've got to transform the hearts and minds of people and how they view themselves, the world, and how we treat people. So many steps, so many levels,

Folks need the basic foundations: shelter, food, love, purpose, work, the abillity to self actualize
Once a person gets to the point of self actualization, to serve their communities.
Change the economic system to place people and environment before profit.

We must first identify the signs of oppression. We must open our eyes and mind to what is being oppressed and take a stand. Some people will be indoctrinated into believing the oppressive behavior; it is important to speak up and speak out about what is being tyrannized and oppressed and start making changes.
