Dear Readers,

I am currently reading The Crossover by Kwame Alexander. I am on page 143. I am at the part where Filthy is in a basketball game and he throws the ball and breaks his brothers nose. Filthys brother likes a girl and that is making Filthy mad because Filthys brother is spending less time with him. Filthys mom is really mad at him for breaking his brothers nose.
I was thinking that Filthy was jealous to his brother that’s why he didn’t pass to him. Why is Filthy so mad because his brother has a girlfriend. Another reason why I think he didn’t pass to his brother is because he was on the bench for the first half of the game. Why is Filthys dad not helping him when his brother is not paying attention at anything except the girl. I wonder how long Filthys brother will be mad at him. Why is Filthy still helping his brother even though he’s really mad at him. Why is Filthys brother so interested in this girl. I wonder why Filthy feels
jealous. I can’t wait to keep reading this book.
Sincerely,
Conner

Dear readers
I am reading Refugee by Alan Gratz, and I am on page 53. I am at the part where Mahmoud’s apartment was hit by a missile. Mahmoud had to get out of the building before it collapses. He doesn’t know where his mom is until she came out of the ruble from the building. When the building started falling everyone had to run away.
As I was reading i was wondering why someone blew up his apartment I think people where just doing it for no reason because the text said it was happening everyday. How did his parents get separated from him I think his mom got separated because in the text it says she gave them a bag of clothes. I wonder how Isabel got the boat in the text it didn’t say anything about it. I wonder if the boat is going to sink because in the text it says there was a bullet hole in the boat. I think the boat might sink faster because in the text it says there’s a bunch of food and gasoline on the boat. I can’t wait to keep reading this book.
Sincerely Conner

Dear readers

I am reading grenade by Alan Gratz I am on page 25. I am at the part where Hideki is getting attacked by USA. I am also at the part where his classmates are trying to punch him. I am also at the part where japans planes are flying into the American boat’s. And i am where the school blew up.
This book is like Refugee because in refugee Mahmouds building gets bombed like when the school got bombed in grenade. I wonder why his classmates bully him. I think his classmates bully him because in the text it says he is small and he looks like he’s 12 not 14. I wonder where in Japan they are. I wonder why one person bosses everyone around. Why would they need to blow themselves up with a grenade after they kill the Americans because in the text it says after you kill all the Americans you can then blow yourself up. Why did the planes come just to explode there self up and the ships. I can’t wait to keep reading this book.
Sincerely Conner

Dear readers, I am reading Grenade by Alan Gratz I am on page 171. I am at the part where Hideki light his grenade and killed an American soldier named Ray. I am also at the part where Hideki was trying to find his sister. I am also at the part where he has been having nightmares of the person he killed.
I predict that Hideki is going to find his sister. I also think Ray might not be dead. I wonder where Rays other soldiers went. I wonder if Ray and Hideki where going to the same place. I wonder why Ray died and Hideki didn’t. Why did Ray run away while his squad was still fighting. I can’t wait to keep reading this book.

Sincerely Conner
