Health and Human Services strives for advancements in public health and social services. Department of Labor also promotes the development of welfare of workers and retirees. One section of the combined department can deal with workers and the other can deal with the rest of America. Furthermore, Health and Human Services deals with Social Services, including child care, which a lot of workers may need to take care of their kids while at work. Health Plans are a part of the Department of Labor, so the combination of the two will be more convenient and direct with making sure that workers receive the best healthcare possible. There is an Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry in the Department of Health and Human Services. Workplaces must be safe from hazardous toxins, so the addition of the HHS will make sure of this.

The Department of Defense is the most important department because it is tasked with the job of keeping America and it’s allies safe. The main purpose is to deter war and protect the United States. They are tasked with overseeing all branches of military and determining where our troops are stationed. Keeping the military up to date with current technology and making sure we aren’t lacking in defense is very important. If the country remains safe the rest of the departments can do their job. The task of this department is immense and it has existed since the beginning which is a testament to its importance. Monitoring global issues and providing support for our allies makes this the most important department.

This department will ensure that the freedom of speech and make sure the rights of internet users are not being violated by any means. As technology expands and grows and as we turn more to the internet, we still need our rights to be ensured. Creating a Department of the Internet will allows them to protect our rights and make sure the government also doesn’t impose on them. The head of this department will be a computer program that holds no biases over politics, religion or ideas. This program will be tasked with protecting the inalienable rights that are covered in the constitution. The program will prevent hacking so that there are no leaks in information that is personal to citizens.  Allowing the internet to be governed by a computer program will also allow us to be more integrated with technology and insures no human to twist the internet to his or her views.

In their Department they also help maintain a strong economy while also creating job opportunities by promoting conditions that enable economic growth. They also collect all federal taxes through the IRS and manages the U.S. government debt.

I think the department of housing and the urban is the least important because the department of commerce has the same mission that the department of Housing and urban has. So I think both of these department should work under one department.

They also speak for the US at the United Nations meetings. This also is a place for the United States to have a speaker to convey information and collaborate with other nations. Without a Department of State we couldn’t have as much reliance on other nations and if there was another major world war we would be isolated. Department of Technology. In a world where technology is ever evolving someone should lead the way. Elon Musk own of Space X and Tesla would be a perfect pick. With a large team of helpers and experts in making rockets and cost efficient vehicles and other technologies. These individuals could be put together with more funding by the government to advance everyday life.

  • We think that the Department of State should be labeled as the most important out of the fifteen because it is the most broad department. The Department of State ensures the advance of national interests of the US and its people. This department deals with many topics regarding the being of our country. It manages arms control, international security, civilian security, democracy, human rights, economic growth, energy, the environment, management, political affairs, public diplomacy, and public affairs. So, we think that since the Department of State covers so many of the core values needed for control and sustainability of a government it should be labeled as the most important department in the cabinet.

  • We believe that the Department of Interior is the least important because it is not used as much as the other departments. Yes it protects some quality human beings like the Native Americans, but people probably have enough sense to respect those people on their own. As Americans, most of us know not to dishonor and neglect people just because their way of life is different from our own. The Department of Interior also watches out for the natural resources and provides scientific information about them, but we feel the Department of Energy already does that. There is no reason to have two departments doing such similar business.

  • If we were to add a department, we would add Technology. The world is constantly changing due to new technological advances, and if our country cannot remain updated with the rest of the world it could cost us more than a few dollars. Technology is everywhere in our new and upcoming world. Everyone is familiar with it to a certain extent, whether it is a TV in a living room or an IT room at a major company. Technology allows for larger yields in the fields of the Midwest, and exact pinpointing of weapons in the military. Our nation's security and the safety of the citizens is also reliant on technology to a degree. A department solely focused on improving our nation’s technology would be vital to our growth and well-being. Robert E. Kahn will be the secretary because he invented the internet.

Creating more jobs will make people pay more taxes which can help improve communities and also help people get homes. The department of housing and urban development isn’t needed because we already have something that is dealing with jobs and economic and population growth and good standards of living.

Some of the other departments that are more important are the Defense and the Justice Departments. These departments are more important because they provide safety and protection. Energy is important but it is not as important as things like national security.

They have different agencies in this department such as the FBI, DEA, lawyers, U.S. Marshal Service and many more. These agencies help keep peace in our nation, by keeping drugs out of our streets, protecting us from terrorism and arresting criminals. The FBI is the nation’s top law enforcement agency, since then this agency has stopped many would-be terrorists. They also manage many critical police activities to further enforce the law. The Department of Justice also has the Office of the Attorney General, they oversee all the other agencies to maintain a well working department.

He has a lot of knowledge dealing with technology. He would be a perfect secretary for the technology department.

Having a Department of Technology would help the nation as a whole, scientists in this department could work together finding new ways of making technology cheaper. This department would be a great step forward as a fast changing nation, new technologies and jobs will have to be made to accompany our changes. I think Bill Gates would be a well fit secretary for this new department. Gates has years of experience with new types of technology, such as making his own computer software. He is also very wealthy and could use some of that money for funding this department.

This department is making sure that there are high quality and affordable homes for US residents, but the other two departments I have mentioned make sure the economy and job market is stable. If there are more jobs where residents can have higher pay, the demand for cheaper housing is lowered and thus there is less need for the Department of Housing and Urban Development. This department can also simply be combined with the other two departments I have mentioned.

These advancements are essential to continue to creating a strong nation through economic and military power. Every other department of the Executive branch depends on the expertise of those who have received an education in their respective fields. If those executives did not have a sufficient education, they would likely not be able to interpret the information they are given to make a correct decision. Without the Department of Education, the United States would fall behind other developed countries and would not be able to sustain itself.
