I worry that if we all do the same-ish thing students will get bored and frustrated. Within the walls of school we all have our styles, virtual makes having your own style more challenging. I want to work with my PLC to get creative and keep things fresh. I also would LOVE LOVE LOVE to make an effort to keep some students involved in my planning for class and ACP events.

I am excited for the doors that have been opened by virtual learning. Because EVERYONE is simultaneously dealing with (and expecting) virtual content there are opportunities to bring experts/speakers in to social studies courses that may have seemed inauthentic in the past. Watching videos in person only works for so long, but when consuming online content is the norm I think students will be more likely to engage deeply with this style of interaction.

I know this is such an important part of quality teaching in general, and I think this is a great opportunity in the virtual world to really infuse a regular feedback loop so that my teaching improves and student learning/engagement is strengthened.
