They also have walk-in counseling services on Fridays from 1pm-4pm.<br><br><strong>3. What are the different programs or initiatives offered by the resource/service?</strong><br>They are part of the Bee Well Initiative, we are committed to providing counseling, consultation, and disability resources services that enhance students’ growth and well-being as they pursue their academic, personal, and professional goals.<br><br><br><strong>8. How can students benefit from using this resource/service?</strong><br>Students are supported and encouraged when they encounter challenging life experiences. They promote student growth and well-being as they pursue their academic, personal, and professional goals.<br><br><strong>9. Are there any specific eligibility criteria or requirements to access the resource/service?</strong><br>You need to make an appointment Monday to Thursday to be served. counselors are available to assist students with short-term individual counseling (1-8 sessions).&nbsp; <br><br><strong>10. Are there any fees or costs associated with using the resource/service?<br>Services are free.</strong><br><br><strong>11. Are there any upcoming events or workshops organized by the resource/service?</strong><br>Group Counseling and Skills Workshops:&nbsp;<br>Our group support sessions are free for all students, and students do not need to set up an individual appointment to attend. Groups meet weekly throughout the quarter and are facilitated by a staff member or a graduate clinical intern.&nbsp; Groups provide an opportunity to connect with peers who might be facing similar challenges and are interested in addressing those challenges together in a welcoming, collaborative, and safe environment. Groups typically focus on a specific issue, challenge, or mental health practice (e.g., anxiety, depression, substance abuse, stress management, mindfulness meditation).&nbsp;<br><br>Jump Start Program:<br>The Office of Counseling and Student Support Services invites all students who qualify for accommodations and their parent or guardian to attend Jump Start, a special expanded orientation offered exclusively in Savannah, held before the general SCAD orientation begins each September. Jump Start is designed to increase awareness of the services and resources available to students with disabilities, ease the transition to college, and provide strategies for success at SCAD.</div>]]></description>
