I think our ideas and beliefs effect how we view things which why many people see a different perspective then another. For example, when the speaker mentioned Obama and the results of viewing different skin toned photos and who voted for who based on it.

I agree with the speaker because often times when i am not in the mode everything seems dragged out but when I'm happy or I've had a productive day everything then seems manageable. However the speakers data with the waist-to-hip ratio does also prove this point especially for the unfit but motivated data.

she said right before the 4 min mark that two people can see a half full glass two different ways. and that to me is like an example of how peoples options work. there can be the small object with no effect of filter but two people can see the same thing differently. so its pretty neat to see how that works.

yes because this example that she gave happened in school. i was unfit and had no real motivation to run back and fourth from the Gym. but my friend who was very motivated saw this as very easy and was the last person to give up and had the highest score.

Keep your eyes on the prize means to keep your focus on a goal. I think this strategy does work for me because i am balancing my mental/emotional health, with social, and physical health this is proving me capable of doing anything i keep my focus to whereas, when i wasn't balancing these types of health's i was just unmotivated and careless.

the prize would be satisfaction and relief. you don get a real prize for working out unless its for a sport completion but working out because you want to you dont get a reward for that. so the feeling of reaching the finish line after trying your very best is the best feeling to have. to be happy with yourself by getting through the challenge and reaching the end.

I noticed about myself that working out with others motivated me but I am trying to figure out why i can't just motivate myself at the moment. My perspective hasn't changed after listening to this ted talk because I've known for a while that ideas and beliefs or someone's lifestyle alters their reactions. But I did gain more knowledge from the speakers data that was collected.
