Her name is Ever Davis and she’s really insecure about how she looks and her weight. Through the book you realize that she has this voice in her head called ‘Skinny”. This voice continuously tells ever how she's not good enough and how she never will be. After being brutally embarrassed by breaking a chair at her high school awards ceremony she decides to have Gastric Bypass surgery. Her friend Theodore Wilson (Rat) helps her through her journey after the surgery such as charting her weight loss and just being their for her. After her surgery she starts to work out and by the time she goes back to school she has lost about 100 pounds. Later in the story Rat tells Ever about the school musical that's coming up and asks her if she wants to audition, but she first has to enroll in drama. She doesn't really listen to Rat because all she cares about is impressing her childhood crush Jackson. Ever stats to lash out at Rat and loses the one person who actually loved her for who she is. She decides to follow what follow what her former best Friend Rat says and enroll in Drama and go out for the school play which is Cinderella. She's a 300 pound at the age of 15. Ever since her mom died her life has gotten harder. Around the time her mom did die she began to binge eat, this caused a lot of weight gain. After a couple of years she started to get a voice in her head named skinny who body shames her and makes her feel horrible about herself. Towards the end of the book Ever decides to get gastric bypass surgery. Throughout the entire book Ever is afraid for people to see her talent because she thinks that all they'll see is her weight. 

Skinny - Skinny is Ever's internal voice. Skinny came into Ever's life after Ever's mom died. Skinny always finds ways to make Ever feel bad about herself. After Ever got her gastric surgery Ever finally decided to stick up to Skinny and Skinny went away, 

Rat - Rat's real name is Theodore Wilson. He has been Ever's best friend since kindergarten. He has stuck by Ever's side through all of her struggles. He even made her a weight loss chart and sticks by her side after the surgery and works out with her. I thought that it was very inspirational and shows how people in high school who are overweight feel and you can overcome that your insecurities. Like i said before it's a very inspirational book and shows how you should take risks, put yourself out there, and really just be confident in yourself. She resolves this conflict by sticking up for herself and being more confident. 

Internal Conflict (Person vs, Self) - This is another internal conflict, but it's against Ever and herself.
