It was about the end of World War 2 from the German's side. Throughout the movie, there were only few phrases that I could catch but I also learned how to pronounce other words like names of places such as Munich(München) and what is exactly was Luftwaffe. So far I have completed the parts, Basics 1, The, Basics 2, Phrases, Acc. Case, Intro, Food and Animals 1. I have done the practices for units 1, 2, 3 and 4. I am not proud to say that I made a lot of mistakes grammar wise, as in the endings of the verbs. I can't seem to get the hang of it just yet. And the accusative and nominative sometime confuse me. This time I went to the popular rock band, Rammstein. While listening, I also read the lyrics and the translation to try to understand the song. Fortunately Du Hast has a lot of repetitions and Sonne has numbers at the beginning of the sentences so even if I couldn't understand everything else, I could understand those words. They have episodes for total beginners and teach word by word how we are supposed to talk or speak the German language based on different situations, much like in class. Only the podcast I can replay over and over again. The only problem is that sometimes I zone out while listening to them. I practiced some of the questions on the paper with my friend and I also watched some of the videos on the BBC websites. They gave simple phrases for me to use and explained simply in English how and when they are supposed to be used. I did an online quiz about some German vocabularies that we have not touched in class. I think doing random words is not a good way for me to learn because I cannot associate the new words with other words that I have learned.
