I am the instructor for this course, I have been a professor here at Sinclair College for over 10 years and a Family Practice Physician for 30+ years. I enjoy teaching which is why I have made a transition from medical practice to the academic world. I look forward to working with everyone.

I am a student at Sinclair Community College. My goal is to get in the Physical Therapy Assistant Program. I have a passion in helping people in the health field that has to do with preventive health. I am currently certified in American College Sports Medicine as a personal trainer and I love what I do. I am a stay at home mom of two boys and have been for about eight years, and I enjoy volunteering my time with some amazing elderly folks when my boys are in school. This is a required class for the program I plan on getting into, but I believe I will learn a lot and be very intrigued by this course. One little hobby of mine is photography. I'm a student here at Sinclair but I previously attended Wright State University. I'm a nursing major and fingers crossed to start the program Fall 2018! I'm currently a PCT at Miami Valley Hospital on the pulmonary unit. I believe this course will help me become a better nurse with critically thinking about all the different body processes. Hi, I am a recent Graduate of Central State University. I received my Bachelor's in Biology and with my degree I'll be attending an accelerated nursing program at Mount St. Joseph, in Cincinnati this fall. I enjoy traveling and want to become a traveling nurse for a while. I enjoy helping and providing care to others through the medical field. I'm Jacque, I'm 36. I am studying for the OTA program, and am excited about the career change. My previous degrees are a BS psychology and and AA Criminal Justice, but I work as a STNA right now and really love the work if not the abysmal paycheck.

I'm married, and I've been with my spouse since I was 14. We have an 8 year old daughter, Sammy, who is committed to being a meteorologist. I also am an activist, a bibliophile, and I embroider for fun. Pic is from the time I accidentally came out in the USAtoday , but I love it so I bought it... I think it makes my family look like we're superheros in disguise.

Hello! I am taking this course because it is require for the program I am going for, which is OTA. I had no idea what to expect walking into this class but after reading a bit I am very intrigued by this information and terrified at the difficulty of it. I know I'll walk away with a lot of information though so that is exciting! I love to work out and I am currently working on my eating habits. Here's a picture of me with a dog I found!

Hi! I am in my second semester of Sinclair's Occupational Therapy program and loving it! This class is a requirement for the program and I look forward to applying what I learn here to OT. I have a previous Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Social Work. My husband Matt and I have been married for just over a year and we have 3 spoiled rotten pets. We have a sassy Chihuahua Chloe and 2 adorable cats, Murphy and Toby.

Hello All! Five years and fifty pounds ago I was living my dream as an EMS helicopter pilot. After twenty plus years I had to reluctantly say goodbye to that chapter in my life. I am returning to school after a 40 year break....yikes:). I still haven’t figured out what I want to be when I grow up. I am leaning towards
the medical field due to being inspired by the medical community over the past 20 years. After 35 years of marriage my wife still thinks I can be trained......which one do you think will cave in first? 😂. After 20 years of trying everything know to mankind to create life, we were finally blessed with our son, 14 years ago. I am looking forward to this class and hope to meet as many of you as I can.

Hello! This is my second semester at Sinclair, and I just graduated out of high school last year. My program is PTA, or Physical Therapist Assistant.
I have wanted to become a PT, or Physical Therapist, so my last two years of high school I attended the Sports Medicine program at MVCTC. During my time at CTC, I had two assignments to workout two people. The first person I had was just wanting to lose weight, so I was taking the role of a personal trainer. The next person I worked with had internally rotated hips, so I acted as a PT, and created a POC for them. Within the short time I worked with my second person, I saw a difference in the rotation of their hips and how they were become more open.
I really enjoyed helping someone with a problem they really cannot fix, but I hated acting as a personal trainer because people can do this stuff on their own.
I look forward to this class and meeting everyone. I wish everyone the best.

Hi! I am returning to school in my 30's because I finally know what I want to do when I grow up! After earning my BA in Psych and bouncing around the country as a military spouse, I'm taking the opportunity to earn my nursing degree. I have 2 boys and work as a PCT in the postpartum unit alt MVH. I'm hoping that this class makes the nursing program a bit easier!

Hi, I'm Amy. I'm taking this class as a prereq and am hoping to get into the PTA program in the Fall. If I don't, I've already been accepted to Xavier for my BSN. I have 3 kids and a bunch of chickens at my house, which keeps me busy. I currently work in the Ambulatory Nephrology dept at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. I am a student at Sinclair Community College. This is my second semester at Sinclair, and it’s such an experience compared to highschool. I am currently in the PTA program and I couldn’t be more excited. This class was required for the Physical Therapist Asistant program and I can’t wait to keep digging deeper and discovering more in Pathophysiology. Outside of school I really enjoy reading, painting, working out with my sister and spending time with my friends and family. Hi my name is Erin and one of my favorite things to do for fun is go horseback riding. It is so breathtaking and clears your mind. I also have a 7 month pitbull named Krypto (Superman’s dog). I used to be athletic but I kind of moved away from that, I played softball, soccer, dance, etc. I enjoy going to the gym and working out or staying home and watching movies!

I've been a student at Sinclair for a couple of years now, I started out majoring in something different, but then got the interest in the PTA Program! I'm required to take this class for the program and I'm excited to learn much more and hope to get through this last class in time to be in the program this fall! I hope to get a good response back for toward the program! I do work at Kettering Medical Center as a Culinary Associate right now, but I'm hoping to get through school and get into something bigger and better. I also enjoy working in the hospital and meeting so many people there!
