boats by Earliest boats date back approximately 10,000 years, they were simple vessels made from tying logs together or hollowing them out. The first real ships are believed to have been created by the Ancient Egyptians. The earliest historical evidence of boats is found in Egypt during the 4th millennium BCE. A culturenearly completely riparian, Egypt was narrowly aligned along the Nile, totally supported by it, and served by transport on its uninterruptedly navigable surface below the First Cataract (at modern-day Aswān). There are representations of Egyptian boats used to carry obelisks on the Nile from Upper Egypt that were as long as 300 feet (100 metres), longer than any warship constructed in the era of wooden ships.ntries saw the necessity of having a large fleet of ships for trade and battle.

Instead, most drivers relied on printable directions from sources such as MapQuest to get from point A to point B. Today, the majority of new cars have a navigation system—usually a touch screen—that comes standard. A report by Berg Insight Research showed that roughly 155 million vehicles on the road today have in-dash navigation systems.

2. Cars are much safer today. Guess how many airbags a car commonly has today. Probably around four, right? Most cars have at least this amount, while some have upwards of 10 airbags built around the vehicle. Ten years ago, the majority of cars had, at most, two front airbags. And now, cars also have accident avoidance features such as collision warning systems, blind spot recognition, and alert sensors. Some cars are even prototyping exterior airbags to prevent collision damage.

3. Fuel Economy didn’t matter 10 years ago The average price of gas 10 years ago was $1.78 per gallon, so having a car with a high mpg rating wasn’t that important. Throughout the last decade, however, we’ve seen gas prices skyrocket to upwards of $4 per gallon. Because of that increase, more and more fuel-efficient models have hit the market. Hybrids, electric cars, and cars with the highest mpg ratings are in demand. Fuel efficiency today is one the top priorities for automotive manufacturers.

cars by ZARA.Cars are amazing! And one of the most amazing things about them is that no-one invented them—no single person, that is. There was no scribbling on the back of an envelope, no lightning flash of inspiration, and no-one ran down the street crying "Eureka". All the different parts—the engine, the wheels, the gears, and all the fiddly bits like the windscreen wipers—somehow came together, very gradually, over a period of about five and a half thousand years. How did it happen? Let's take a closer look! It all began with the horse. Or the camel. Or perhaps even the dog. No-one really knows which animal prehistoric humans picked on first. People tended to stay put, living more locally than they do now. If they needed to move things about, they had to float them down rivers or drag them by sledge. All that started to change when humans realized the animals around them had raw power they could tap and tame. These "beasts of burden" were the first engines.ara
