My student has difficulty making transitions and environmental support could be helpful for her. If I were to provide environmental support I would change the temporal environment. The term temporal environment refers to the timing, sequence, and length of routines and activities that take place throughout the school day. This is how I could do it:
Right before the transitions, I am going to provide her with a picture that represents the activity or area where she needs to go next.

I had a student who struggled to put toys and other equipment away. He either couldn't remember where they went or wouldn't enjoy putting them away. Changing the physical environment would be beneficial because I can add pictures or symbols on shelves and containers to help the child see where things go. This helps make cleaning up like a matching game because the child has to find the right bin for the toys.

My student has a difficult time listening and following simple directions (age 3). I think that for this child an environmental support could be beneficial. For example they struggle to clean up when it is time. An environmental support could be to use an instrument to get their attention before giving directions and then following that by playing/ singing a song that repeatedly tells them what we are doing.
Modeling and narrating behavior could also be beneficial. As well as visuals on baskets/ shelves for where toys should be stored would all be helpful.
