I was assigned to VAT (one of the warehouse dept in OAH)

PKT provides complete logistics solution to its clients including warehousing, local transportation service and international shipment.

I was briefed and exposed to the primary operations in the warehouse including, receiving, put away, sorting, picking, packing and shipping.

The first day was about getting to know the warehouse culture, 5S, rules and regulations

  Learned the inbound process flow

  Inbound is divided into 3 primary processes which are physically receiving item, receiving item in system, putaway (QMS/inventory storage)
