What happened was the U.S tried to stop communism in Cuba so they tried to invade it but was unsuccessful. The Soviet Union then put missiles in Cuba for defense. The United States has missiles in Turkey and Greece. We made a blockade so they could not get missiles into Cuba and they did not like that. In the end we both took missiles out of Cuba Greece and Turkey. The United States also had to promise not to invade cuba ever again. I learned that we have a lot of power just form having missiles and nukes and the smallest thing can make a difference and could make are break the world. One example was when the Soviet submarine almost launched a torpido at us because there was a miscommunication.
