John Michael Green was born the 24th August in 1977. He is an American author of young adult fiction.
The Fault In Our Stars debuted at number one on the New York Times Best Seller List in January 2012.
Green was born in Indianapolis buy he actually lives in Florida.
He studied at university of Chicago Divinity School. He intended to become an Epsicopal priest but his experiences of working in an hospital inspired him to become an author.

Hazel is 16 and she is reluctant to go to the support group, butshe soon realise that it was a good idea. Hazel meets a young boy called Augustus Waters. Augustus has had asteosarcoma, but has recently had all clean. Hazel and Augustus embark on a roller coaster ride of amoctions, inluding love, sadness and romance while serching for the author of their favourite book. They travel to Amsterdam searchng for Peter Van Houten, the author of ''An Imperial Affliction''.
