2. What type of solution will gummy bears absorb the most, plain water, salt water, or sugar water? 
3. Gelatin in the gummy bears is a polymer and I already know that it can water. By adding sugar or salt to the water, I think it will increase the amount of water absorbed.
4. If we add enough salt or sugar to create a saturated solution, the gummy bears will grow larger than in just plain water. 
5. Experimental Procedure:
  1. Measure and weigh 9 gummy bears first. 
  2. Fill three glasses or beakers with room temperature water.
  3. Leave the water plain in one cup, add a tablespoon of salt to a second cup, and a tablespoon of sugar to the third cup.
  4. Place three measured and weighed gummy bears into each cup.
  5. Wait 6 hours and measure and weigh the bears again. Put them back into the same cups.
  6. Check back and measure again after 12, 24, and 48 hours.
6. I will compare the average increase in size and weight of each to determine which environment the gummy bear is the most absorbent in.
