I loved the idea of the augmented reality! It was such a great tool! I would definitely use it in my classroom as an interactive tool for introducing a new lesson to get the students engaged! It can help with having the children interact one another to enhance their social skills! I liked that the children can learn at their own pace especially for children that are struggling can be a good tool. I would use AR for creating fun quizzes and games to learn the topic!

I really enjoyed learning about Augmented reality, virtual reality, and mixed reality. While I have not experienced something like this before in a classroom, I think children will really enjoy this. After watching the video of the teachers all talking about Metaverse (AR) I am convinced that my students would love this. Augmented reality and virtual reality allow students to learn at their pace. Sometimes children do not even realize they are learning while they are doing scavenger hunts, creating games, quizzes, etc.

After seeing many examples, I think I would use these tools to definitely enhance learning for my children. Some examples of things I could do include AR for flashcards, VR for virtual field trips, VR for time travel to the past, etc. What I like about this type of technology is that it provides for different learning styles (visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, etc).

I really enjoyed looking at the information that was provided on the website about augmented reality, virtual reality as well as mixed reality. I personally never have seen anything like this or have experienced this, but I think that students would benefit from these tools. I really enjoyed how AR used the flashcards and having the animals pop up on the screen. I feel that virtual learning is also great for doing the virtual field trips which i think is super nice right now especially with the pandemic and a lot of online teaching is being done. I think that overall these tools can engage students in a lesson as well as being able to have the students work at their own pace. Overall, I feel like there are a lot of benefits.

Augmented reality was so neat to explore! I would love to have my kiddos in my class one day try one of the apps on the ipads with the augmented reality. I thought the first video was so neat with the penguin on top of the "p" card. It is such a great way to engage students and young learners into lessons that might not be as fun.

I thought Augmented reality was so cool and especially great for Prek-1st which are the grades I would prefer to be in. I think this is really cool because not only are the students going to be learning the alphabet, there are going to be making connections and thinking "Owl starts with O" "Penguin starts with P" etc. Making comparisons like this will be great for students and also be a fun way to get engaged.

I am really amazed by the possibilities presented by augmented and virtual reality. I think both of these tools encourage a more hands-on and interactive approach to education. Personally, I really like the idea of using virtual reality to create tours for history and social studies classes to help the material they are learning come to life. I also really like all of the different features in Metaverse. I think the quiz and scavenger hunt aspects could be implemented into a math class to make it more interactive and hands-on.

I thought, overall, that this online exploring was super neat! I enjoyed learning about augmented, virtual, and mixed reality within education. I never thought to incorporate virtual aspects into education or just how effective it could be, as well as the augmented education within using the flashcards and other fun additives. The virtual learning was my favorite part because I think they are most effective to students, especially being that various things are online and digital these days. The virtual learning just had so many gateways and uses to play around with that it would be fitting for any lesson or assignment in the classroom. I would love to do a virtual tour, as they showed, to help bring the lesson to life for students! Overall so much fun and great things to keep in mind when becoming a teacher. :)

I have personally used virtual reality and found it enjoyable. I think it would be a fun experience for students. VR is engaging and could really help students when practicing skills. I also love the idea of using AR when exploring history. Students would love to see things such as dinosaurs. The children would get to see dinosaurs in the world around them, it would give them an idea of how large some dinosaurs were. I hope to be able to use some of these tools in my classroom one day!

I think that using AR, VR and mixed reality in the classroom could be a great resource for teachers and students. AR could be a great tool for building knowledge on certain concepts. The way that you can build and create 3D images using this tool could help to make a better visual for students to learn from. VR could be beneficial in the classroom because it removes boundaries of the classroom walls and allows exploration beyond the limitations. Not only could it be used for learning but students will also enjoy their time and the new creativity it allows. MR could also be helpful to show students life like examples and build skills for real world scenarios. By being able to see it visually, students can explore concepts deeper and easier. The only bad thing about using these technologies could be the cost. Some of them are expensive which could limit the availability for some schools. The teacher would also need to take time to learn about the tools and become fluent in the use of it.

I could use this in my own classroom by using AR to explore geometry, like the one example gave. Students could build life like structures using this technology to explore the real uses of shapes and their properties. I could use VR for students to explore geographies. In social studies the students could take an in depth look at certain terrains and locations around the world, so they can physically see what they are learning about. As for MR, I could use this in science to make learning easier with the curriculum the apps provide. Students could look at the models through the technology so that they can see the functioning and models of the different topics. This would help because they would be able to visualize and manipulate the content in a way that isn’t possible in a typical classroom lesson.

I really loved learning about all the different resources that can be utilized into the classroom. I learned so much about augmented reality because I have never heard of that before and I think it is so cool. Seeing how excited these teachers got over Metaverse was so exciting because they were so happy that they found something that their students love. It makes me so excited to become a teacher because I can not wait to see what technology will be available to me once I become a teacher because there is so much more coming out to use all the time. I think Metaverse would be something that would be amazing to use in the classroom, especially after watching that video of the teachers saying how excited the students get, that is amazing. I also loved learning about virtual reality and I think that is something that is so fun for students, I know I have tried it before and it is a very different tool. I think it might be something fun to utilize in the classroom with my students.

I also think that the google cardboard goggles are a really fun way to let students explore a place they are learning about, as though they are taking a field trip there. It opens the possibilities of teaching students about places, and giving them the opportunity to explore those places. The last part of this exploration that I thought looked exciting for students was the scavenger hunt students can do with Metaverse since this is a way to get students out of their seat and learning. I think as a student this would be very engaging and that there is a lot of way to make this a positive learning experience.

AR, VR, and MR are great ways to get students engaged in their own learning and incorporate new and emerging technology into the curriculum. Not only is this a great resource for students, but these tools can help improve teachers' understandings of how to meaningfully integrate technology into the classroom. AR, or augmented reality is when objects in the real word are enhanced by computers! VR, or virtual reality is the simulation of a 3D image or environment that can be interacted with. Lastly, MR, or mixed reality, is when digital and real worlds collide to create new hybrid environments.

As a future elementary school teacher, VR stands out as such a fun way for kids to have fun while they are learning. For example, Google Expeditions provides unique experiences for students, like providing virtual field trips to anywhere in the world! Especially with the current state of the world, VR is a great way for students to experience the outside world from a safe and easy perspective.

I wasn't sure that there were so many differences between augmented, virtual and mixed reality. After having read about it, though, I can see the several benefits of children using each one as part of their education. I especially liked the screen that showed 3-D animals over the cards representing each letter of the alphabet. The only concerns I have with this is the concept of hands on learning, but I know that several techniques would probably be incorporated into lesson plans. I just know that I learn better when I can manipulate materials, and since the virtual and augmented reality things aren't actually there, it might be difficult.

My thoughts on the Augmented, Virtual and Mixed Reality in Education has given me a lot of experience on how I can present this in the classroom to my fellow students. The one thing that I observed for students who have visual impairment learners in the classroom is that I saw how each student can see charts or number graphs that pertains to a math lesson for either pre-k through 1st grade.
I never thought that in my life as an student educator that I can experience learning about how these resources in education can help students learn better in school using either virtual, augmented or mixed reality with technology in the classroom. As a future teacher, I can provide special resources in the classroom when students learn in the classroom on how different technology works such as using plickers, the card googles or any other app that comes to mind when it comes to education with technology. I think that using this technology in the classroom with the augmented, virtual or mixed reality technology can be important to all educators to help students learn either inside the classroom or outside the classroom using technology at home if the school does online learning and while using online learning, I can provide fun and interactive apps to provide the students to give them a better understanding of how technology works in the classroom.

There was a lot of great information about AR, VR, & Mixed Reality that I was not aware of before. When I think of virtual reality I think about videos games. I've definitely learned a lot about how these technologies can be beneficial in the classroom. What I like most about it is that it can give students a more in depth understanding of abstract concepts. For example, when the students were given an opportunity to visit the great wall of China they were able to see first hand what the actual experience would be like. For many students it might not possible to travel with their families. Many families do not have the financial means to travel around the country or world. Technology can bring a brand new experience to these students and they can get a better sense of what is out there in the world beyond their home town. I also love the idea of creating interactive learning experiences. The one video talked about creating escape rooms and scavenger hunts using Metaverse. That concept is so exciting and engaging for students. It gives a nice variety of options to deliver instruction in ways that the students will get excited about. I think when children are excited and interested they get more from the learning experience.

I will be working with students who have visual impairments from ages birth to 21 years old. I can see this type of technology being useful for some of my low vision kiddos depending on their visual acuity. It does make me a bit sad that my students who are blind will not be able to get the same experience from VR, AR, and Mixed Reality. I wish there was a way to include them in this awesome experience as well. My job will be to provide as many real life hands on experiences to my students as possible which I am very excited about. However, I have no way to bring the Great Wall of China to them other then to describe it as much as possible and try to replicate some aspect of it. For students who can partake in the experience visually I think it is a life changing opportunity in education and I will incorporate it as much as possible with my future students.

I found all the technology to interesting and fascinating to learn about. This technology will give students a whole new way to learn that was previously unavailable. I found it amazing that there are cheaper options of VR headsets that are accessible to teachers for their classrooms. I like the idea of being able to do virtual field trips. They are a wonderful idea for the time we are living in now with Covid and everything. Also, I believe they would be amazing to visit places students would never get to go on a school field trip. For example, going to a rainforest, desert, or even at the bottom of the ocean to explore those areas the students would not normally see. Overall I can see myself using these in my future classroom, and I can imagine my students will love them.

I have never seen augmented reality before and I thought it was awesome to learn about! I enjoyed learning about this because it gives me another resource that I could use one day in the classroom! I really liked how the interest can go to so many different grade levels! I think my favorite one was the one with the flash cards because I enjoy working with younger children. I can see myself using this to help children learn letters and even words!

I really liked how this website talked about incorporating augmented reality and virtual reality not only separate but using them together as well. "Merging of real and virtual worlds to produce new environments and visualizations, where physical and digital objects co-exist and interact in real time." It also said how with virtual reality, you don't have to have the expensive technology but you can get the Google Cardboard headsets ($15.00). This could be a great source for students without going completely out of budget to make learning interactive and fun for them. As a future teacher, since my generation grew up with technology and the progress of technology in schools, I want to make sure to embrace the changes and incorporate it into my teaching. These examples and suggestions are very helpful for us as future teachers because it gives us ideas on how to incorporate them ourselves in an inexpensive and inclusive way.

I really enjoyed learning about the augmented reality. I didnt realize how many different programs there were and each one has different aspects that would be great for teaching any age group. The one that shocked me the most was Snapchat. I never thought that the app Snapchat could be used in a classroom but when the girl explained it it really opened my eyes .The other program that was ver interesting to me was the google expeditions. This one was great for children to learn about history, science, arts, and the natural world in a fun and interactive way. All of the programs had unique features that were interactive and give the children a different way of learning in the classroom. For the age group that i was to teach which is pre-K through third grade the virtual scavenger hunt program would be super interesting to use in my classroom as well.

I really enjoyed exploring the websites and learning about augmented reality and virtual reality. I never knew how neat this could be and incorporating it into my classroom. I think its very cool how it can be incorporated into so many grade levels. My only issue is that I wish this technology can be adapted for students with vision impairments. I feel the blind community gets pushed out of new technology because the technology is only visual and has no description. But besides that I think this would work well in a general education classroom.

I have used virtual reality before and I think it is really fun and a cool tool to use but it can give you a headache sometimes because you're in front of a screen. I would definitely use augmented reality in my classroom though because I think it is really engaging for the students. I could definitely use these tools for students who are visual learners and learn better with visual tools.

The augmented reality was really interesting to learn about. One thing that I liked and that I will use in my future classroom is Thinkster Math because since it bases off its tutoring off of the personal style of the student, it will be more accommodating for them. This could also give more time to the teacher since the student can work on that instead of sitting one on one. I think overall the augmented reality and virtual reality would be very successful in my future classroom.

It is a really great tool used in my field to display something visually that maybe as an organization we cannot do. Seeing the engagement and the excitement on student's faces really shows how much they are learning and how you can make learning so much more fun by using it.

I think that Augmented reality tools are such a great tool within the classroom, especially now during a pandemic when students do most of their learning online and through zoom. It allows students the opportunity for hands on learning while they are still at home and is such a neat use of technology. Even without online learning I think that this tool would be really great to use in my classroom but I feel like it would be hard when a teacher has students with certain disabilities within their classroom.
