In contrast to LDCs, more developed nations tend to have commercial agriculture with a goal to produce food for sale in the global marketplace called agribusiness. The food in commercial agriculture is also rarely sold directly to the consumer; rather it’s sold to a food-processing company where it is processed into a product. This includes produce and food products.

Case study :
Walnut farming in northern indian areas like Jammu and Kashmir ; Lake English.
Walnuts grow in cold anf frosty climates.
High labor input
Loamy silt soil required
Land should be prepared well and clear of any weeds and should be plough 3-4 times.
Mulching to help weed control.
Square systems in flat lands and contour planting in hilly areas.
Environmental impact - There is no negative environmental impact as the fertilizes that are used are manure.
For additional income farmers can do intercropping on the walnut farming but only after 4-6 years after planting.
Low energy efficiency as the time of cultivation which is 8-10 years. One can expect full commercial products after 18-20 years from planting time.

subsistence farming is usually used in economically less developed countries. it is when the farmers grow the crops to basically feed themselves. now subsistence farming is used majorly in places like south and north america. While Latin America's efforts to strengthen food security and reduce hunger have been widely praised, land conflicts endure as a result of the growing presence and pressure of the corporate-dominated, industrialized, agrochemical-intensive agricultural model; and yet, implementing policies guaranteeing food security has not necessarily meant they were favoring a smale-scale sustainable model of agriculture.
the farmers now produce wheat for themselves and they trade other commodities. they use ,ore of labour compared to technology. they use fertilizers to some extend. they have a unsustainable farming system. they fear the world climate change as a change in climate will destroy their production of wheat and other crops. this will lead to the hungry between people to increase again.

http://www.telesurtv.net/english/analysis/Latin-Americas-Future-Tied-to-Sustainable-Subsistence-Farming-20150603-0033.html

In Western Europe the Charolais beef is one of the beef brands chosen. Through selective breeding and genetic engineering bloodlines that puts weight on exist but has a low fat cover. Charolais lives under controlled conditions, they are fed with high proteins and treated with antibiotics to make sure they are healthy. Lots of energy is used in transporting and processing the finished meat.

Cattle raised outdoors however grown on single monoculture ( cultivation of a single crop on a farm or in a region or country) grass land in large fields with a high stock rate. To keep the productivity of these fields going, large amounts of fertilizer are used.

This intensified farming e the 1940′s with the aim of producing cheaper meat has led to habitat loss as they have been removed to make bigger fields and cases of Eutrophication have increased as excess use of fertilizers and large amounts of slurry produced in the system enter water courses.
