It helps teachers to connect to other classrooms across the world. Since so many teachers are using Flipgrid, they may not be aware of this feature. (https://blog.flipgrid.com/news/gridpals). It really gets them reflecting on their coaching practice. 

Not sure if you are planning to keep the GAPPS, but I wonder if if could be narrowed down to a smaller analysis -- I don't think it is being used anymore (but I could be wrong.)

There was a PLN assignment in the 7465 course that we don't really use anymore...perhaps you could review it for ideas.

The more correct term for the assignment would be inquiry-based learning as an umbrella term for PBL and PjBL and other similar approaches.
