         <description><![CDATA[<div>According to the National Institute for Mental Health, Bipolar disorder can describe as a mental disorder in which abnormal shifts in mood, energy, emotions, activity levels, focus and inability to perform everyday activities occurs on a daily basis( (<em>Bipolar Disorder</em>). <br><br><strong>They are Three main types of Bipolar Disorder: <br><br>1. Bipolar I Disorder:&nbsp; </strong>This disorder can be distinguished by manic episodes that last at least seven days as well as are so severe that the individual may need immediate hospital care (<em>Bipolar Disorder</em>). Depressive episodes can be present lasting for two weeks as well as depressive and manic symptoms can both be present at the same time. <br><strong><br>2. Bipolar II Disorder: </strong>&nbsp;This disorder can be distinguished by patterns of hypomanic and depressive episodes but lack the presence of manic episodes experienced in Bipolar I Disorder (<em>Bipolar Disorder</em>).&nbsp; <strong>&nbsp;<br><br>3. Cyclothymic Disorder (Cyclothymia): </strong>This disorder can be distinguished by spans of hypomanic and depressive episodes that would last for at least two years for adults and one year for children or adolescents (<em>Bipolar Disorder</em>). </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Treatment for Bipolar Disorders can be highly effective when the patient and health care provider are able to create a plan in order to handle episodes and enhance the quality of life. The following Treatment options are listed:<br><br>1. <strong>Medication - </strong>this treatment option can be a short-term solution as it is able to treat symptoms caused by bipolar disorder. It is highly recommended to take the smallest doses as well as to monitor side effects caused by medication as they can create symptoms worse(<em>Bipolar Disorder in Children and Teens</em>). <br><br>2. <strong>Psychosocial Therapy</strong> - Psychosocial Therapy can be effective on helping patients as well as their families take control of their symptoms caused by Bipolar Disorders. Therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family-Focused Therapy and Interpersonal as well as social rhythm therapy can educate and provide skills in order to improve social interactions, enhance emotion regulations, and maintain routines (<em>Bipolar Disorder in Children and Teens</em>). <br><br>3. Educating Family as well as educating patients about symptoms and signs of Bipolar disorders. <br><br>4. Supporting patients is key. Family can play a significant role in assisting in the recovery process of these types of disorders. <br><br>5. Routines as well as life management in order to provide stability.&nbsp; <br><br><strong>Parent Methods to Assist Children with Bipolar Disorders </strong>(<em>Bipolar Disorder in Children and Teens</em>). <br><br>1. Be patient and encourage children to talk and listen to their reasoning for episodes. <br><br>2. Pay attention to mood swings as well as possible triggers in order to manage episodes. <br><br>3.          <description><![CDATA[<div>According to the American Psychiatric Association,&nbsp; Depression is known as illness that can cause a significant negative aspect to take control over an individual's life and can affect how a person feels, acts, as well as thinks <em>(What is Depression?). <br><br></em><strong><em>The Various types of Depression: <br><br>1. Major Depression: <br></em></strong>This depression is known as classic depression and is unipolar by nature and can occur regardless of any situation( Pietrangelo, 2018). <em><br><br></em><strong><em>2. Persistent Depression: <br></em></strong><em>This depression happens to strain relationships among family and friends as well as can make daily routines difficult. This depression can last up to two years or more</em>( Pietrangelo, 2018). <br><br><strong>3</strong>. <strong><em>Manic Depression or Bipolar Disorder:&nbsp; </em></strong><em>This depression primarily deals with episodes of mania or hypomania switching to episodes of depression. These characteristics typically last for seven days or more</em>( Pietrangelo, 2018). <br><br><strong>4. Depressive Psychosis-</strong> This depression typically deals with major depression and causes patients to lose touch of reality and can cause hallucinations and delusions( Pietrangelo, 2018). <br><br><strong>5. Perinatal Depression -</strong> This depression happens to occur during pregnancy or within four weeks of child birth and is often called postpartum depression( Pietrangelo, 2018). <br><br><strong>6. Premenstrual dysphoric disorder- </strong>This disorder typically occurs when women feel more emotional days leading up or during their menstrual cycle can can effect day to day activities due to depression and sadness( Pietrangelo, 2018). <br><br><strong>7. Seasonal Depression</strong> : This depression is known as major depression disorder that occurs in certain seasons ( Pietrangelo, 2018). <br><br><strong>8. Situational Depression: <br></strong>This depression occurs when abnormal depression is based on a triggering event or occurrence that would interfere with daily routines<strong> </strong>( Pietrangelo, 2018). <br><br>9. <strong>Atypical Depression:</strong> This depression happens to occur when depression is relief temporary by positive events. Medication: </strong>&nbsp;Antidepressants may provided improvements to a patient by modifying their brain chemistry to counter depression( What is Depression?). It is very important to monitor side effects.&nbsp; <br><br><strong>2. Psychotherapy: </strong>Cognitive Behavior Therapy is an effective treatment for depression as it targets focusing on problem solving as well as changing mindset and behaviors( What is Depression?). <br><br><strong>3.          <description><![CDATA[<div><br><strong>Anxiety Screening <br></strong><br>Screening for Anxiety Disorders is essential as being able to accurately diagnose a patient with an accurate anxiety disorder could lead to rapid treatment and improvement.<br><br>In a recent study,&nbsp; it was proven that a multiformat approach, that used Screen for Child Anxiety-Related Emotional Disorders, Multidimensional Anxiety Scale for Children, and Spence Children’s Anxiety Scale, experience success in planning treatments and methods on dealing with various anxiety disorders(Spence, 2018).&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>A similar study conducted in 2018 that analyze the effectiveness of the Screen for Child Anxiety-Related Emotional Disorders confirm that although this diagnose tool was effective more efficient results were found when other tools were used in the process(Van Meter et al., 2018). <br><br><strong>Anxiety Treatments&nbsp;<br><br></strong>Medical research continues to be ongoing and has provided significant tools and treatments in order to handle anxiety.<br><br></div><div>According to a recent study, stepped care Cognitive Behavior Therapy has been proven to be cost-efficient method to identify anxiety factors that can be treated (Ramirez et al., 2020).&nbsp;<br><br>Another effective method for treating anxiety happens to be aerobic exercise as it has been proven to reduce stress levels and depression (J.N. &amp; Mandar, 2020). &nbsp;</div>]]></description>
