When reflecting on MOY data I noticed

Many students showed growth and more students were well above benchmark!

Some students moved down a tier and I would like to make sure interventions are meeting the needs of students and push that group!

I have been able to notice in the MOY data that our students have given their best, it is certainly a great class and they do better every day, especially because many of the concepts are in Spanish

I plan to add more blending activities in centers and for early finishers. I’m using the chaining folders for orthographic mapping with T3 so they can use the letter cards then we’ll start writing the letters.

I am so proud of the growth our first graders showed from BOY to EOY. Our kids in green and blue have almost doubled which is great! I'm excited to see their reading continue to improve and become more fluent as we get closer to May.

Based on the end of year data I am so proud that we had such growth in the number of students at or above benchmark!

For next year I would continue using Lexia, mclass when needed and incorporate nondecodable fluency passages and NWF to give students more exposure. Knowing what we know about the EOY ORF we definitely need to also focus on vocab so students will be familiar with those types of words that may be in the passages! I will keep pushing this with my kiddos this year to keep getting them 3rd grade ready as well!

I am so proud of our second graders and the progress they’ve made over this school year. I will continue to work with them on strategies to help with their fluency, reading comprehension and vocabulary. Hopefully this year has given them the head start they need to be successful in 3rd grade.
