I believed that the purpose of buying laptop is to increase the productivity and portability at the same time, therefore the battery life is the first consideration. 
ROG Flow Z13 has weak battery life compare with MacBook. ROG only can stay for maximum 2 to 3 hours however MacBook can stay at least 4 hours with fast charging in the situation of heavy duty work.

Secondly, the processor for MacBook (i9 intel chip) is better than ROG (i7 intel chip), which is more suitable to do heavy duty work such as editing video and programming.

Thirdly, although ROG can easily dispatch the keyboard, which is more portable than MacBook. However, it is not the big deal because this can be achieved by purchase a iPad which may have cheaper price and have higher performance , extra buy a better quality and feeling of keyboard at the same time .

Fourth, the ROG do not have enough space for chip and hard disc, which means that we have to extra buy a dock for graphic card and ports. However, the MacBook M1 pro has inserted the port, although have link with external USB port for pen drive, but I think that that is not the big deal compare with the big dock that have to use by ROG.

Lastly, if sir is a IOS user, choosing the IOS system will be easier for the process of transmit data, work accessing and privacy within iPhone, iPad, iMac and MacBook. After that, the keyboard that attached at the Z13 is also have a better clicking quality than the Macbook pro. This will bring comfort for the user. In addition the Z13 had the RGB light for the keyboard which let the keyboard look more fancier.

Lastly, the ROG Z13 had more free gift accessories than the Macbook pro such as the asus pen which save a lot of money to buy extra accessories.

Now depending on the model of the device, most of them does provide a extra space for storage upgrade if the storage has used up.

Nowadays, chrome and many others apps has been occupying tons of memory, 8GB has been the normal baseline for any kind of laptop to function more smoothly and to give the best performance for the user. 16GB is the sweet spot to offer the user to work on multimedia works and open a few more apps chilling in the background.
