The Oort Cloud is a theorized spherical cloud of icy bodies that surround the solar system which marks the extent to which the Sun's gravitational boundry extends. The theory of the Oort Cloud's existance is a theory as it is unable to be visually proven to exist through the use of modern telescopes, however the reason it is thought to be there is that it is the origin of long-period comets.
