Alexis Akrithakis was a Greek artist. Born in Athens in 1939. He lived in Paris between 1957 and 1961, while from 1968 to 1970 remained in Berlin with a scholarship from the German State. Then he divided his time between Athens and Europe. Held solo exhibitions in Greece and abroad (Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Turin, Geneva) also participated in important group exhibitions in Europe. The Akrithakis worked on book illustration, scenography and design. He died on September 19th, 1994.

His early works include linear compositions in black-and-white. He later went on to use specific poetic and symbolic motifs in compositions with intense color contrasts and outlines. Another distinctive feature of his art were his wooden constructions. He was also involved in the design of music album covers and theatre stage sets.

Yiannis Gaitis (1923–1984) was a leading Greek painter, printmaker, and sculptor, known for his “little people,” a series of works that satirize massification and alienation. He studied in Athens, lived in Paris, and transformed the human figure into a geometric symbol, offering sharp social criticism.

Arsov’s artistic style is defined by clean, well-structured forms, vibrant and richly layered colors, and meticulous attention to detail. These elements give his works a strong visual presence and a recognizable aesthetic identity. By employing a variety of techniques—particularly acrylic painting—he creates compositions that balance visual appeal with deeper conceptual meaning, inviting viewers to engage both emotionally and intellectually with his art.
