The article points out, “Positive Psychology is about achieving an optimal level of functioning by building upon a person’s strengths in both personal and professional life” (University of New Hampshire Psychological and Counseling Services, 2024). In other words, a person's quality of life is subject to each individual according to the areas they excel at in life. It is a person's job to identify their strengths and weaknesses and build upon those.

-Jenna

As written in the Article, "There are skills and strategies you can learn to increase happiness and life satisfaction. Happy people experience hardship like we all do, but their response to it is to bounce back, to be resilient." (University of New Hampshire psychological counseling services, 2024) I found this quote to be quite insightful. A lot of people have the misconception that happy people are happy at all times; that they do not experience hardships and misfortunes like the rest of us. However, that is untrue. As stated in the quote, happy people just have the ability to recover and bounce back after facing adversities.

-Mariyah

In the text, "Positive Psychology Strategies for Increased Happiness", it states "Positive Psychology is a growing, research-based field of study. Beyond just offering strategies for recovering from mental illness, its goal is to help people thrive." (University of New Hampshire, 2024). This highlights how Positive Psychology goes beyond traditional psychology by focusing on enhancing well being and aiming for sustained happiness and flourishing

-Corey
