Muut.com: Adding some kind of discussion forum to your website would allow students/group members to post questions for everyone to comment on. It could be a public access Q&A for things like homework help! Students can help each other!

PowToons: This is an excellent animated presentation program that allows for collaboration by students to create fun, animated presentations.

It is very important for students to learn how to work together in the classroom so that they are prepared to work with others out in the real world. It is amazing what students can learn from each other. Any simple, lower order thinking task can easily become a higher order thinking task when collaboration is integrated. Reasoning through communication with others is a complex skill that needs to be cultivated in school.
