The religion in India was polytheistic and there were multiple popular religions such as Buddhism, Jainism, and Hinduism. They all focused on ending the cycle of reincarnation by reaching spiritual enlightenment. The main religion in Persia was Zoroastrianism which was monotheistic and influenced other later religions. Both Persia and India were decentralized but Persia had satraps, bureaucrats, and main rulers. India never had one ruler, just separate kingdoms who governed themselves, although India did try centralization but it overall failed.<br><br></div>]]></description>
