Main Idea:
Stanley was taken to the Camp Green Lake，where is just a dry，flat wasteland with some hazard creatures，because he was arrested.He got a shoe of a celebrity which fell down from the freeway.He was happy that he picked the shoe and came back home for his fathers experiment.The police thought that the shoe was stolen by Stanley.In the Camp Green Lake，Stanley needed to dig a hole，five feet wide and deep every day. He made some friends and tried to adjust the life in the Camp Green Lake.One day，he discovered something amazing while digging hole.It was a fossil.

In this novel,the main character were being wronged and send to the Camp Green Lake.That remainded me of a story in my life. Although it happened very long time ago. I still feel fresh now.
When I was a child and studied in kindergarten, I usually played with my friends after school. On day, I played toys with my friends and my brother in teacher's office. We felt very  happy and nothing happened. The next morning, the principal told every students and teachers that the copy machine in teacher's office was destroyed. He wanted to know that who did it,but no one confess. So he accessed the monitor, and it showed that we have entered the teacher's office yesterday. Although it didn't show that who approached the copy machine and destroyed it, our principal still thought that the copy machine was destroyed by me and my friends. He told us if no one confess, he will call the police to solve it. I felt scared and nervous, but I wanted to protect my friends and my brother. So,I confessed though I knew that I didn't do it. Latter, I got punishment and my parent's reproach. I felt wronged and unjustly treated.
This incident cast an unfading shadow on my heary. This chapter is talking about the "yellow-spotted lizards". When you're reading this part, you might not understand why author wrote a chapter which is not connected to any other chapters around it. But it explain how terrify the lizards are. They have yellow green spotted body, red eyes, black teeth and white tongues. Also, there's no one who actually knew the appearance of the lizards. Because anyone who can look at them so carefully were bitten and died after that.
