1.	Self-Reflection

I've learnt that being a leader does not simply mean being the head of a certain hierarchy and instructing people what to do. Being a leader means that you work together with people around you to achieve a specific goal. The road towards achieving certain goals requires leaders to play an active role in leading his or her team to assess multiple layers of steps and to act accordingly upon those assessment. Not only that, I've also learnt that everyone can be a leader. It always starts from ourselves to take the first step and to acquire the skills needed to lead such as to persuade and to build charisma. It is alright to fail, because almost no one would get it right on the first try. It is important to continously learn and work together with other people. Building a brighter future for the nation could not possibly be done by only a single person. We need capable leaders and teams to address existing issues and to find the solutions.

2. My Pledge and Commitment

In the long run, I want to involve myself in more activities or organisations which involves working towards the betterment of society. I believe that creating a network with more people would allow me to gain more insight and experience to deal with various issues in the nation and work towards creating solutions to solve these issues. Even though I’m an accounting major, I want to apply not only my accounting skills in the future, but also to implement and improve the fundamental qualities of an accountant to better serve the nation.

3. Personal Development Plan (PDP)

The qualities that I wish to develop:
-the ability to persuade others ethically
-the ability to adapt and act accordingly in new or challenging situations
-to improve my social skills
-the ability to lead; to be the first to act upon a certain goal while empowering my teammates

1. Self-reflection
Throughout the programme, I’ve learnt that becoming an environmental warrior doesn’t require a superhero-like effort. Something as simple as creating a grocery shopping list or using ceramic baking pans can make a big difference. In fact, a healthy lifestyle and an eco-conscious one often go hand in hand. Bonus: Being eco-friendly is often easier on the wallet. The most obvious ways to help the environment are to conserve energy and use less water. But if you put on your green thinking cap, you can come up with lots of less obvious, but no less important, earth-friendly habits.

2. My Pledge and Commitment
Upon graduation, once I have advanced knowledge, skills, and experience in accounting, I aspire to contribute to the nation by involving in implementing better environmental accounting. Nowadays, our Earth finds itself getting sicker and damaged day by day due to rapid advancement in technology and an irresistible desire for goods. This has eventually threatened humans’ health and caused unprecedented loss to ecology and the environment, resulting in calamity for the future generation. Hence, we should consider the social and environmental costs in financial reports as those environmental problems were caused by human activities such as profit maximization and endless consumption of goods.

Besides, I would love to involve in more volunteering activities. I have been involved in volunteering activities for Orang Asli and I found that it is extremely eye-opening to realize that doing even small things can have a big impact on others. Knowing that you made a positive impact on the community is an uplifting experience that cannot be forgotten.

3.

1. Self-reflection
-There is bound to be roadblocks in our journey to our goals. We might even fall out of it due to this. However, this does not mean that we should give up but rather to start adjusting to such change and becoming more resilient.
-Other than that, as a leader, we need to find our big why. Only then can we truly be a great leader as we can aspire others around us. Definitely, finding this why is not an easy task but it should be the upmost priority. As only with this can we have the resilient that we need
-We sometimes forget that life is about the people around us. We are so busy that we forget the people that we wanted to help. We can never do something alone no matter how skilful we are because at the end of the day, we as a human live to be together and work together.

2. My pledge and commitment
I want to learn and experience as much as possible during the times in my university. I would love to focus on reducing poverty in Malaysia either directly or indirectly. Not only that I want to achieve a point in Malaysia in which we have a responsibility in both our consumption, our treatment to people in need and to the environment. I would love to give an impact regardless of how small it would be as I believe that the sum of all the efforts by wonderful individuals combined can give a tremendous positive impact.

3.

1. Self-reflection

My personal view of leadership is constantly evolving, and the modules offered by YKLDP have added new dimensions to this concept. One of them is the importance of bridging the various viewpoints possessed by our multicultural society. Having the awareness and considering cultural differences is of great importance when it comes to decision-makings as a leader. I also learned how important it is for a leader to thoroughly understand the grassroots of his organization. This ensures that any policies/ actionable plans/ directions decided in the future are realistically aligned, ensuring their effectiveness in tackling the issues identified within the organization.

2.
