The reason I chose this video was because I have a very tough time remembering things. When I learn something, I only try to remember it for the day of the test rather than for long term. This has caused me to struggle with midterms and finals. When Midterms and Finals arrive, I have to study all the material I've learned all over again. Therefore, watching this video has helped me to find more strategies for remembering my lessons. The video taught me one strange thing that I think might actually work. That strange thing was that in order to remember we need to forget, so instead of having a study session daily we need to stretch out those days. This metod is called space repetitions.
https://youtu.be/eVajQPuRmk8

In the video it explains how using flashcards the correct way can help with active recall. During the video, he covers five rules for making flashcards and three ways to study them effectively. The first rule of creating the flashcards is to make your own flashcards instead of finding an app online. The second rule is to make the cards your own by adding pictures and decorating the card to fit your personality. The third rule is to use mnemonic devices anything that helps create a mental association between two pieces of information. The fourth rule is to have a question on each card, so you don`t have illusions of competence. The fifth and last rule is to break down complex concepts into multiple simple questions. The first rule for how to study the cards is to say the answer out loud. The second rule is to rotate the cards and study from both sides. The third rule is to understand that the flashcards are not silver bullets, but a way to study.
https://youtu.be/mzCEJVtED0U

As long as I can remember, I`ve had trouble with my study habits. This video informed me that I had the wrong mindset on how to study effectively. I thought I needed to study longer to collect all the information, but I was wrong you have to study for about fifteen minutes or more then take a break. Furthermore, for effective studying, your environment needs to be especially for studying. I study in my room on my bed, but I need to start studying at a desk instead. Lastly, the video informed me that I need to be more active will reading. I need to ask questions while reading.
https://youtu.be/23Xqu0jXlfs
