Question: Is connecting to nature valuable?

Student:

Do you think natural is important? Connecting with nature is valuable because we need nature in order to survive, and we need nature in order to thrive.

First, we need nature in order to survive. For example, we need water in order to maintaining our body temperature. Another example, we need trees in order to have oxygen and survive.

Second, we need nature in order to thrive. For example, we need the sun in order to survive because it helps or immune system. Another example, we need vegetables in order to have a diet and vitamins.

Even though I think connecting to nature is valuable, I can see why some people think differently. For example, there are some company that think the money is more important the nature. However, it is more important to take care of or nature like some company uses water bottle they are terrible for or fish.

In conclusion, connecting with nature is valuable because we need nature in order to survive and we need nature in order to thrive.

Student:

Connecting with nature is valuable because we need nature in order to survive and we need nature in order to thrive.

First, we need nature in order to survive. We also need plants to get nutrients in order to survive.

Second, we need nature in order to thrive. For example, being in nature can make you feel calmer. It helps us from being starved so we don't die for being starved to death and it helps you be energetic.

Second, it is valuable to connect with nature because we need nature in order to thrive. For example, is that some people in their house they put flowers and plants so their house does not look boring. Another example is that some people said that nature can reduce anger, improve mood and help you be more active. I believe people should connect with nature that helps you have a healthy mind.

Even though I think connecting to nature is valuable, I can see why some people think differently. For example, insect and bugs that most people hate, especially entomophobia people, like they get scared of any insect/bugs even though the insect is minding its own business and not trying attack you. For example, animals need space to wander around, most animals can't live anywhere that isn't habitable and we need space too. Students need to learn how to elaborate on an idea. "Talk it out." Students would benefit from modeling discussion framework strucsted group conversation.
Tripepi: Tweet Tuesday"What have you learned from our practice sessions for the Ohio state test? How can you use this knowledge to do your best on the test?"

Tweet Tuesday

"What have you learned from our practice sessions for the Ohio state test?

How can you use this knowledge to do your best on the test?"

Do you feel confident about taking it? Why or why not?

I have learned how to make an OST approved essay, provide good evidence, and to always read the text before answering questions. I can use this knowledge by putting all I know to good use when the OST comes around. Like how to provide better evidence for a question when given a written response. I also know to make sure my essay has really good transition words when starting a new paragraph, and how to go back into a text whenever possible. I feel very bittersweet and conflicted about taking the test. Sometimes I feel like I'm not going to be able to finish in time or I’m going to click the wrong answer. And what if I click the wrong answer on an easy question. There is a lot of pressure on taking the OST, but I'm also feeling proud about it at the same time. I know that I know what I'm talking about because we’ve been doing it all year long. I’ve also passed tests that can prove it. I guess it’s the fact that I'm not able to use notes that’s making me nervous. Some advice I would give to others is don’t second guess your answers especially if it’s an essay. A lot of the time when I write an essay I picture my ELA teacher scrutinizing it. Don’t do what I do, it will only make you change the meaning of what you want to write about, and most of the time when you write from your perspective, your teacher will recognize you for having a different pov than the rest of the class. Then maybe you could give some encouragement to some of your classmates for their essay.

I was firmly instructed to do good and always to prioritize selflessness. It was made clear that helping others and treating everyone with kindness should be the top priority, even when they have wronged you.I thought the religion was funny when you say it out loud by yourself

DominicWhat I have learned about the 5 religions is don't say gods name in vain do not reship and other Gods than God the 10 comments and one of the religions tell you how to live and stay helftheyMy religion is Hinduism which has only 1 comment while the other has 5 or 10. It was really interesting learning about other religion and their beliefs.

Soniya PrasaiMy religion had less rules than christiany but had more followers than Buddhism
----------->I felt like I could memorize all of them but the one I know the most is Christianity since it's my religion and I know about it most.I understood the religions since they all had their own believes and also no matter what they always said to do good even though I don't have a religion.
(Aarenne Marks-Dexter)I learned about the 10 commandments , you shall not murder and you shall not steal in Christianity in Judaism I learned the commandments in Buddhism learned about the 4 noble truths, suffering stops when you stop having desireI learned that different religions show different qualities, wants and needssince I don't have religion I'll compare the 5 religions l learned. Chirstianity Islam, Judasim and Buddhism are all monotheism Christianity, Islam, Judaism, and Buddhism all have book. how i felt on learning religions was neutral and I understood them pretty wellin my religion we focus more on marrying someone than God compared to the other 5 religions .If I had to reflect on it it would be English because u get to learn a lot of new world.i understude that their are not just one religon and lernd that there are diffrent rules that they have

Christina Devarro TaylorI understood their cultural practice and it was similar to my cultural practiceChristianity,Islam,Hinduism,Judaism,BuddhismMy religion is that we have 10 commitments and all the other's religions have less than 5My own religion I made was honestly just based of christianity but with a different name and some different rules.I am Muslim so the other 4 religions were very interesting. So between March and April we do something called Fasting and what we call Fasting between March and April is called Ramadan.iduThe 5 things I learned about The 5 religions are that most of them believe in one god, and they also have their own beliefs Buddhism and Hinduism are more about life not having any wants and just teachings of how to liveFor Christianity, I learned that it was the most popular religion amongst us.
For Islam, I learned that you must fast for Ramadan.
For Judaism, I learned that was what the Jews believed in.
For Hinduism, I learned that it has commandments like Christianity.
For Buddhism, I learned that Buddha's name is Siddhartha Gautama.
