Some of these policies ensure that parents understand ELL programs and goals, while others refer to ongoing communication between teachers, parents, and principals regarding assessments and student progress. Teachers also have a role to demonstrate responsibility and trust in their relationships with families, according to the "Ethical Standards for the Teaching Profession". It is therefore important that we build strong relationships with our students and their families.
