         <description><![CDATA[<div>• The Sixth Amendment was part of the Bill of Rights that was added to the Constitution on December 15, 1791.<br>• James Madison, the "Father of the Constitution", wrote the 6th Amendment in 1789 as one of the first 10 amendments collectively known as the Bill of Rights. <br>• The 6th Amendment contains five principles that affect the rights of a defendant in a criminal prosecution: the right to a speedy and public trial, the right to be tried by an impartial jury, the right to be informed of the charges, the right to confront and call witnesses, and the right to an attorney.</div>]]></description>
