Climate Issues

All of our findings were along a beach so the temperature was very high. That’s why some of the vegetation we found was very dry. A plants tissue dies around 115 degrees Fahrenheit, normally a plants temperature is just above air temperature, however it can rise critically under certain conditions. This high temperature could have been caused by the increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

Photosynthesis rapidly decreases when temperatures are above 94 degrees so the high temperatures yields the growth of the vegetation and can scald and scorch the leaves and stems. One specific issue for the tropical climate is the tsunamis in the area. One way they have tried to solve the issue is creating elevated housing to prevent some of the damages caused by the tsunamis.
