I'm currently a Sociology major with two minors in Education and Theater. One of the reasons I chose to take this class is because one of the career paths I would like to explore in the future is becoming an elementary school teacher. Although not directly mentioned, I do think learning about the history of schools within the U.S. is a foundation all teachers need. It's like learning U.S. history where we learn how our country was founded and evolved over time because it's important to know the past.
