-One initial assessment followed by a yearly reassessment.

-Assessed on Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing.

-Aligned with 1999 California English language development standards.

-Being phased out and completely replaced in 2019 by the ELPAC.

-25%. 1.5 million English language learners in K-12.
