Marriage is equal parts amazing and hard work. Keep your communication going - all of the time!!! A few things:
1.) Don’t go to bed angry - it’s bad for business. Work it out somehow. Even if you stay up late to hash it out!
2.) Laugh everyday - at something - anything!
3.) Hug & kiss every every time you part ways leaving the house and every time you get back home!
4.) Above all else, keep the Lord first. It’s easy to get distracted with the business of the day - but carve out that prayer time together!

We are so thrilled for you! Congratulations on fishing up your first year of teaching and getting ready to walk down the aisle. May the Lord keep you safe and healthy as you embark on this new chapter together!

Lots of love from the Thompson’s ladies!!!

Ingredients:
Picnic pork roast
Liquid smoke (optional for flavoring)
Can of Coke, Dr Pepper (or any other can of pop)
Large bottle BBQ sauce

Put the picnic roast in the crock pot. Add one can of Coke, a half bottle of BBQ sauce, and 1/4 cup liquid smoke. (I do the night before - the carbonation tenderizes the meat).

Plug in crock pot, cook 10 hours on low setting
(If you baked potatoes, you can toss in potatoes washed, rubbed in salt and individually wrapped in foil around the roast in the crock pot)!

If the roast has a netting, cut it loose. Remove from pot. Shred with two forks. Add one cup of juices from cooking and as much remaining BBQ sauce as you desire.

Our favorite way to eat it:
Day one: On baked potatoes (add any toppings you’d like)
Day two: On Hawaiian rolls or hamburger buns.

Tip: it freezes really well, too! Throw half in the freezer for a fast meal another day!
.
