We were a part of an eTwinning project related to Space Science and Astronomy and i invited a female space engineer who used to work for ESA and is the deputy manager of ESERO Romania now. She talked about her experience and her path to become a STEM professional and my little fellows- 9 years old were really fascinated. I haven't invited any professional to my class yet. But I organized career day of my school. I invited some professions to represent their jobs. I assigned some students to help me for conferences. They enjoyed the activities and increased their confidence.

I haven't invited any professional to my class yet but we made "A day at my dad's/mom's job" And kids were really excited, they talked about what their parents do and hoy they use technology, science, etc.

We organized a career fair in our school and got parents and students involved. Also we have tied up with professional career agency to support school for the next 5 years. We call parents regularly to give talks on their careers and link it to our science curriculum. For eg: when we teach teeth, we call a dentist . All this has benefited us immensely. We now need to organize career fair networking with neighboring schools to make it more collaborative.

My school organises careers day annually. It certainly has positive outcomes both for the school and the students. The students have an opportunity for job shadowing that day.

I always try to get my students in contact with scientists (live, by videoconference, by email). In this way students acquire a closer view of science and see the human side of scientists. We usually record interviews or edit them in blogs and magazines.

In Romania, each school establishes during the school year a week in which out-of-school activities take place. Visits are made to companies, factories, universities, visits in which the opportunities, the responsibilities of embarking a career in the company or research are discovered. We can plan visits in Palace of Justice, where a judge presents his activity, why he loves his job and what takes to be a judge. I think we have many opportunities to advice correctly students about a path career.

Our school is just planning to organize career days in spring. We are planning to invite different STEM professionals to give presentations and talk about their career paths and jobs they do, about their daily life they lead. also, we plan to integrate STEM subjects with non-STEM ones.

In Estonia there are several centers of science and technology, where specialists show experiments and conduct experiments with students. We conduct interesting museum lessons.

In Thessaloniki, Greece, very close to my School, there is Noesis, http://www.noesis.edu.gr/en/, a Science center and Technology Museum. Every year we plan several activities and visits and students have the opportunity to get in touch with scientists and technology innovators.
