Joan's village had already been affected by the Hundred Years' War. Many had to evacuate and abandon their properties. So, Joan took this as her responsibility and with the help of the saints guiding her, she went to ask to join the dauphin. Of course, when she got there, Robert de Baudricourt, didn't take a 16 year old peasant girl seriously. But this didn't stop her. She would then a year later, 1429, go to ask and was permitted.

Joan was finally on her way. Dressed in men's clothing, she went alongside men at hand to Chinon. after a week of travel, they reached their destination. This was Finally Joan's Chance to ask Dauphin Charles to fight.

At first, he was hesitant to audience her, but after 2 days, he accepted and immediately sent her to get questioned by the church.

They sent her away to Poitiers, France to test her to see if her intentions were true. She then said that she would not prove her mission at Poitiers but instead she would do it at Orleans, France. When she finally proved herself to them, the granted her military access.

Joan would go on and fight alongside her brothers Pierre and Jean. On one random day, Joan sprung up with the Courage and Energy to fight the English. Putting on armor, she went on her way to fight. This would then become an average occurrence and even when injured she would still go to fight.

Joan had many victories in war and had taken towns, bridges and all sorts of things. But this would soon come to an end.

After 3 years of fighting, Joan of Arc got captured by the English in a fight. Charles who was allied with the people who captured her, made no intent at all to save her. She would often get transported to different locations she soon grew anxious and tried to jump off a tower. She was not seriously injured but however, she had more eyes on her.

Soon, Joan would be sent to be tried and had 70 charges against her. They would say her cross dressing was quite blasphemous and was sent to prison. The whole time, she kept saying she was the lords duty and even if she was tortured to death, she would live by that.

May 30th 1931, they sent her ablaze in front of a big town. She died in flames but she stayed praying the whole time.

Joan of Arc was a miraculous woman. She had fought in many battles and in almost every battle she fought in, they came out, victorious. She played a crucial part in Charles VII's final coronation as King of France and commanded the French army to several significant triumphs, including the siege of Orleans. Despite all of this, she still faced many challenges but never gave up when there were times of doubt.

Joan of Arc's story has always been known but it had taken the church 500 years to finally canonize Joan of Arc as a saint. In 1920, the Roman Catholic Church canonized Joan of Arc as their saint.
