As for my opinion,I don't agree with the statement which is 'increasing reliance on robotics is a good thing'.As for me,it's not a good idea, but at some point i agreed that robotics can help us in so many ways like saving so much time, energy with the helps of any kind of technology such as sweeping machine and etc. However, the question is,are we sure it will guarantee the future? especially to the younger generation? what will happen if energy supply is cut off? Do they know how to be independent?of course not because they have been raised in such a way. It will be so difficult and even worse for people who reliance on this robotics thingy. Moreover, reliance to it also makes life becoming less productive such as people becoming lack of light exercise at home such as sweeping, cleaning and less movement activities that can lead to health problems. In a nutshell, yes i admit that robotics can help us in so many ways, but reliance on it,I do not think that's the right choice for someone to make.

I still believed that there’s a brighter side of having robots to do our jobs. For instance, we as a consumer have every rights to have a better service that reaches our expectations which only a programmed machines can provide. Programmed machines or robots tend to do their job perfectly without consuming a lot of time and that is why replacing non-human interaction jobs to automation is a great idea. They may not have the tendency to improve or do other things but they are excellent in the job that they are programmed to do.

Based on my opinion,I disagree that reliance on robotics is a good thing. Robots may have Artificial Intelligence(AI) but they are certainly not as intelligent as humans. This is because robot was programmed by us and they just followed what we have command. They can never improve their jobs outside the pre-defined programming because they simply cannot think for themselves. For example, if one thing goes wrong on the robot, the whole task that being conducted by the robot will failed. That why we cannot relied one hundred percent on robot to do our task.

Unfortunately, I have to disagree with you Athirah, I think reliance on robotics is a good thing for the society. Nowadays, it is so advance that even the robot can use solar energy therefore energy supply will always stay on. It is undeniable that there is always a risk for this but as Isabelle said, Robots can do a better job than human. Why waste "human energy" on odd labor?

Eviana also has a good point in telling us why robots can improved themselves. However, I need to point out how robots are never intended to be creative, but to be a servant. Humans are the one with creativity, therefore humans can improve and upgrade the robots for them. for example, smartphone upgraded to latest and improvise version of it made by humans. With guidance and proper safety, a good functional robots can help the societies.

i would like to add my point on why "increasing reliance on robotics is a good thing", this is because technology helps us to have a better life. Maybe in a few years, we can replace odd jobs to robots and improvised the waging systems. human lives are mortal. We should not waste our time to do something stressful. Life is precious, therefore we should make it as easy and comfortable as we can. This is why robotics comes in handy instead of human slaves.

Yeah Fathin, but solar system won't works everytime we need it,sometimes fate does not always favor us like having cloudy day all the time will only produce less energy.Just like what i said, what if the electricity cut off ?It's not an impossible thing to happen. Thus, how will less energy accommodate so many things at a time? Like if we reliance on it,ofcourse all the odd labour things will done by all the robots right? So how it would be? would not it cause all the work to be down?Yeah I admit that reliance to it is a good thing but sometimes it is not works so well, therefore Im still sticking with my point that i disagree with the reliance on robots is a good thing.

Unfortunately I still stand on my objection Athirah. It is undeniable that one can have a cloudy day once in awhile, however the sun will still be there. I believed in a few more years the future will find a new sustainability source for the robots. and by that time, reliance will not be a bad thing. I do agree that the impossible may occurs, but again, we could have died every time we use elevators but we did not because it is safe and reliable.
