         <description><![CDATA[<div>This war was fought largely in the Crimean penisula between Russia against France, Britain, and the Ottoman Empire.&nbsp; It was caused largely in part by Russian demands to protect Orthodox citizens of the Ottoman Empire.&nbsp; Russia was decisively defeated and Tsar Alexander II realized that Russia needed to modernize and industrialize quickly in order to compete with Western European powers.<br><br>“I bear the Russian man no ill. Hundreds of people were wounded and 40 people were killed. this also lead to clashes in other places. When the day was over around 200 were dead and around 800 wounded. This day was given the name "bloody sunday"</div>]]></description>
