The two primary groups are not friends so after they fought of the Germans, the EAM-ELAS set up their own government in the Greek mountains. They also wanted nothing to do with the  Greek king and his government. (Greek Civil War, n.d.)

This government only lasted a couple weeks because the communist did not want to disband their guerrilla force (their individual group). Next, the communist went and started a war.
